Find out more about the people who work at Bruhn Spedition. Why did they choose Bruhn Spedition, what do they value most and what is it that makes Bruhn Spedition so special for them?

Dirk Sonntag,
Warehouse Manager, Lübeck

In the company since 2005.

Since I started as a warehouse trainee, Bruhn Spedition has continuously promoted and supported me so that I was able to obtain a degree for warehouse manager, a job I have now been practicing since 2011. I consider the constant recognition and trust that are placed in my person a real honour and this motivates and enables me to further improve my skills. The dynamics of the market offer new challenges every day and the ever advancing digitalisation of processes, which requires continuously expanding knowledge, is a great fascination for me.

Daria Modestova,
Transport Coordinator, Helsinki

In the company since 2019.

As a former German language and literature student with some experience in the shipping industry, I was fascinated by the idea of expanding my skills in the field of logistics. Being able to use the German language on a daily basis is definitely a ‘plus’. Working with colleagues and superiors is relaxed and easy and there hangs a familiar and friendly atmosphere here. I really like the international character and enjoyed my 3-month stay in Antwerp as part of an employee exchange. As Transport Coordinator in the Bulk Department, I co-ordinate the import of raw materials to Finland on an operational level and am in constant contact with local partners and customers. My job offers me 100% satisfaction and I still find it extremely exciting to work in logistics because it is a barometer for the market situation worldwide.

Farahe El Boukhrissi,
Transport Coordinator, Antwerpen

In the company since 2022.

After completing my studies in commercial sciences, I wanted to work in a company that aligned with my personal values. Additionally, I was fascinated by the complexity of supply chain management, which made the logistics industry an obvious choice for me. In March 2022, immediately after graduation, I joined Bruhn. I chose Bruhn because I felt that the company had a familial culture, values openness, appreciation of each individual, professionalism, and strives for growth—while also offering opportunities for my personal development and continuous learning. This feeling proved to be true. As a Coordinator for Intermodal Transport in the Bulk sector, my responsibilities include coordinating the import and export of raw materials between the Benelux countries and Scandinavia. Every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities. I communicate extensively with customers, partners, and colleagues, make decisions, and take on responsibilities. I am supported by my supervisors and my team. Fun and camaraderie make us all feel like a family, creating a unique, pleasant work atmosphere where everyone feels valued and important. This sense of significance and belonging makes each day at Bruhn fulfilling and engaging.

Folker Rickert,
Teamleader Trucking, Lübeck

In the company since 2015.

During my training with another logistics company, I first heard about Bruhn. Later, in a spontaneous "after-hours" conversation, I decided to join Bruhn. That was in 2015 – and I’ve been here ever since. The main reason for my move was a former colleague's enthusiasm about Bruhn’s strong sense of camaraderie. I’ve found that this team spirit truly exists here: everyone knows everyone, and we’re like one big family. You’re not just an employee number.

Regular team events and company celebrations also strengthen this connection – they’re experiences that stay with you. There are also numerous training opportunities, like Polish and English courses, that support personal and professional growth. My job itself excites me: every day brings new, far-reaching decisions and great responsibility – and that feels rewarding.

Challenges like strikes in Finland require quick, flexible solutions. In such cases, many customers choose alternative routes through Denmark and Sweden, which makes coordinating ferry bookings quite demanding. But so far, everything has always worked out in the end, and you go home with a smile.

I’m also fascinated by the industry's dynamic nature. Digitalization, AI-driven processes, and technological innovations make logistics faster and more efficient. At Bruhn, we never forget that drivers are the backbone of logistics. Only when they provide excellent service on the road and reliably serve our customers does the business run smoothly. This important role of drivers is something we deeply appreciate at Bruhn, and we show them a special level of respect.
